Scaffolders in Guildford and Woking | Scaffolding Contractors Upholding Scaffolding Safety

As with all manners of construction, the rules and regulations regarding scaffolding is closely monitored, and must adhere to a number of protocols by law. This is due to the proximity of most frameworks to public areas, housing and roads. These procedures also refer to those members of the construction industry whose work is carried out at height. As an established scaffolding company, it is essential we follow these principles in order to safeguard the public and our scaffolders.

Band of Brothers Scaffolding was established in 2019 and our team of scaffolding contractors shares over five decades of experience working with domestic and commercial scaffolding between them. Based in Farnborough, we have a number of repeat business clients in Guildford, Fleet, Farnham, Farnborough, Woking and across Surrey and Hampshire.

Our Scaffolding Safety Procedures

We acknowledge all safety requirements set out by the following associations:

CISRS – Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme

NASC – National Access and Scaffolding Confederation

HSE – Health and Safety Executive

PASMA – Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association

With scaffolding safety a necessary component of our work, we follow all UK laws pertaining to the design, erection, usage and dismantling of the frameworks we install for our clients. This also includes adhering to the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

RAMS – Risk Assessment Method Statement

These documents are essential for the works performed by our scaffolding contractors in Farnham, Farnborough, Fleet, Guildford, Woking and the surrounding areas.

Risk Assessments consider potential hazards that may occur if our scaffolding is not designed, erected or utilised correctly.

Method Statements follow on from the risk assessments, outlining how each hazard will be avoided and the measures in place to ensure safety at all times.

Competent Skills

Our scaffolding company’s team of experienced scaffolders have been working in the industry for a number of years. Each is fully qualified to erect a range of domestic, commercial and temporary roof scaffolding, regardless of how complex the design. Band of Brothers Scaffolding remains up-to-date with any changes to the regulations presented by the associations listed above, and our team maintains good practice when working on various construction sites.

Inspections

All frameworks are inspected prior to use to ensure the stability and security of the scaffolding. We follow up with subsequent checks every seven days, as outlined in the HSE regulations. Additional inspections are carried out by our experienced team in the case of unexpected factors, such as extreme weather conditions. Any issues are addressed immediately with detailed reports and the correct procedures followed.
